A hello from Salinas, California
We're John and Gen. These sheep are part of our everyday life here in Monterey County, and we're glad you found them. Looking for companions, planning your flock, or just beginning to learn? You don't need to have it all figured out to say hello.
Curious about genetics? Explore MegaMan semen straws.

The people behind the sheep
Monterey Valais is a carefully assembled 100% purebred Valais Blacknose foundation flock. Our fourteen sheep share the ranch with the Highlands, the donkeys, and the daily routines that keep us busy. We know them by name, and we're still learning something new about them every day.
If you're imagining sheep at your own place, tell us about it. We can talk through companionship, everyday care, and the individual sheep's records together. Some transfers are still pending; we'll be clear about what is in hand and what isn't.
A little more about us
Looking for companions?
These are the two non-breeding wethers we currently offer for placement. A wether is a castrated male sheep, so this is a companion or fiber home, not a breeding purchase. We are keeping our breeding flock here.
